Spring 2008 Homework Assignments and Lectures for PH111L (Fundamentals of Physics I)

Notes: the answers to the odd-numbered questions (Q) & problems (P) are in the back of the book. Show your work for maximum credit. Most of the conceptual problems have answers in the back. A given exercise will be graded (usually) on the basis of 4 points; occasionally 2 or 6 points. Not all will be graded, especially ones that get discussion in class! An asterisk * means that it's hard!!

And please read the first page of appendix E and bring ANY QUESTIONS from that experience to class!! www.wiley.com/college/halliday and then click on "Student Companion Site".
