Building
is not accessible; all the entrances have steps.
Series
of stairways connect portions of building; no provisions for vertical
accessibility.

through the building are unpredictable, which is especially hazardous for
persons who are visually impaired.

Recital
Hall is not accessible.
Bellinzoni
Building
is not accessible; both entrances have steps.
Campell Art
Building is not accessible; entrances are
not at grade.

Cleveland
Only

Asphalt

Dining Hall
Accessible
via connection from Main; this entrance is about 147 feet from the dining hall.

Cafeteria-style
service and salad bar do not have provisions for wheelchair users.

Dodge House
Building
is not accessible; all entrances and exits require the use of stairs.
There
are no elevators.
Moving

Glen Park
Building
is not accessible; the landing at the front entrance is a few inches above the
sidewalk.
There
is no elevator to provide access to the upper floors.

Leach House
Building
is accessible at the east end only through a door at grade.
No
elevator; therefore only the first floor is accessible.
Only
the public areas are accessible; student rooms are not accessible (lack
clearance at the doors).

Long Library
Building
is not accessible; entrances are not at grade.
Existing
elevator is not designed for handicapped use (no h/c controls, etc.).
Some
areas can only be reached by stairs (e.g. the Rare Book Room, Lounge).

Macmillan
The
north basement is the only marginally accessible entrance to the building (only
at- grade access: double doors, with leafs that are only 32 wide).
The
pathway from the parking lot is too steep for wheelchair use.
The
freight elevator is not suitable for passengers, and is not suitable for
unassisted use.
There
is one accessible bathroom in the basement.

Main Building
Accessible
via a ramp on the north-south one-story corridor.
A
c.1956 Otis cable-operated elevator at southeast corner provides limited
vertical accessibility, but does not meet current standards for handicapped
accessibility. In addition, its relays
are in poor condition.
The
Chapel is inaccessible to wheelchair users (eight steps below the first-floor
level), and so is the northeast wing of the third floor (elevation change of
threes steps).
Doors
lack adequate clearance and accessible hardware.
Morgan Hall
Building
is not accessible; all entrances and exits require the use of stairs.
No
elevator in the building.
There
are no accessible toilet facilities.
Pettibone
Building
is accessible via the east entrance.
However, narrow decorative doors restrict the direct route to the main
hall on the first floor.
A
wheelchair user must go through the office immediately to the left up on
entering from the east, and then to the main hall.
There
is an elevator providing access to the other floors from the main floor.
Accessible
toilets are provided adjacent to the elevator.
Service Building
There
is a ramp to the front entrance at Level 2 that is within the slope
requirements, but there is no landing at the doors. Entrances at the other levels is only accessible after traversing
uneven landscape.
No
elevator between levels.
No
accessible toilet facilities.
Doors
are not equipped with accessible hardware.
Smith-Sommer Center
There
is an accessible entrance on the south side of the building.
Elevator
connecting all floors of the building (including the raised eating area and the
mezzanine).
A
unisex accessible toilet is located in the basement near the elevator, though
the restroom at the west end of the building is not accessible or usable.
The
office for the Director of Campus Involvement and the console area are not
accessible.
Student Union
Building
is not accessible. Various facilities
are separated by elevation changes.
There
is a ramp at the rear of the building to an entrance on the second level. However, it
is not connected to an accessible route and is not considered to be an accessible entrance.
No
elevator between levels.
Ramp
to the tennis courts is too steep to meet regulations.
Weld House
Accessible
first-floor entrance on the east side of the building.
Elevator
access to all three floors.
Accessible
toilet and shower facilities on the first and third floors, as well as an
accessible toilet facility on the second floor.
Zabriskie
Not
accessible to persons with mobility and visual disabilities; all entrances
require use of stairs.
No
elevator between levels.
