MATH 251, Probability and Statistics I, Fall 2005

I must be absent today.  This will be a cooperative learning class, your responsibility.

First: Volunteers (2, 3?) to put their solution to problem B, day 10 on the blackboard, and if anyone had trouble with
problem A, the same for that.  If nobody got it, notify me (see below) .

Then:  make groups of 3 or 4 (or 5) (by turning backwards in the
first and 3rd rows)
Check and discuss your answers to HW Day 10, including the "Read to Discuss" problems.
Each group needs to choose a reporter, who is to email me after the class and tell me
--who was in her group,
--what problems you had initial disagreements or difficulties with, and
--what problems remained unclear after your discussions.

You should be especially sure to check on 2.58, 2.59, 2.79, 2.81, 2.103d.

You are alllowed to ask other groups for help, and to bring the solutions manual in from the clinic (as long as someone returns it.)

If Mr. Shilepsky forgets to take attendance, please circulate a list and put it under my door, someone.

Day 11 (Monday) hw IS ASSIGNED,due Wed.   The book is good enough on this, I believe.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.
