Rock the Vote:
The best date for everyone is the second or third week of October
We would be selling things as a fundraiser (Rock the Vote merchandise, virgin
margaritas, popcorn)
We are trying to get local bands (Bottomfeeders, Kh’Mi, etc.) to play
Also trying to get local politicians to come speak about voting (not campaigning) ideas were the League of Women Voters and Gary Finch
We are responsible for setting up a table with information on all Republican
candidates running for office. The Dems will also have a table.
We will be having poster sessions with the Dems. We will go to one of their
meetings on a Sunday and they will come to our meeting to make posters about
registering and for Rock the Vote
Ideas: get gift certificates from local restaurants, etc. to raffle off at event (try to get people to come!), contact with Johnny Hart (B.C. comic strip) to see if he would donate anything, we could also use some of our money to buy a big prize to raffle off.

Suggestions:
Get involved with a campaign
John Spencer (running against Hilary Clinton)

Movie Night:
This month we will be showing a disk of the History Channel’s Presidential
Biographies (they are split up by time so we will pick one)
Date: September 18 at 9:00PM

Collegiate Rep:
Laura will be the rep, Brian is our alternate

Board:
Terri will be decorating it Wednesday; our female Republican of the month is
Ann Coulter

CPAC
There are speakers, lunches, free gifts, a chance to meet lots of Republicans, a chance to see what is going on in the political world
We need to know who is interested by the first weekend in November
There will be a $20 deposit (non-refundable) that you will have to pay
We are budgeting for registration fees, and half of transportation/room, and will use money raised at Rock the Vote, but there might still be a little bit more out of pocket
Once a count is in Christina will get us registered for the YAF and women’s
republican luncheons (yay for free food!)
We will leave very very early Thursday morning (3AM early) to make it there in time for registration
If you are interested in going, please e-mail cgothard@wells.edu

Meeting ended at 6:55, see you next week!!
