Class of 2004:
Tomarra Campbell is of Creole and African American descent residing in New Orleans, Louisiana. Holding many positions as a P.O.W.E.R. officer over her four years at Wells College, Tomarra was P.O.W.E.R.'s 2003-2004 Vice President. She is planning to venture into publishing.
Samantha Henning was P.O.W.E.R.'s 2003-2004 President and we miss her dearly.

Natalie Claire Holly is of Haitian descent, residing in Queens, New York. She
plans to go back to West Africa as a Peace Corps. volunteer, after which
she will
attend law school and pursue a career in urban school reform. Interests
include singing, acting, fine arts, and travel.
Tazeem is Pakistani-American, hailing from Queens, New York.
Tiffany Silliman is dedicated to POWER in all its multiwonderful women and events. In the future, she plans on dedicating herself to bettering communications cross-culturally or helping to spread education and celebrations in the beauty of differences and similarities between all people.

Sair Raza '02 was an International
Studies Major and Africana Studies Minor. She has been a member of POWER since
her freshman year at Wells, and keeps in touch with current members and her
fellow Alumnae. In her senior year, she had the honor of supporting her friend
Jeanelle Bovell(2001-02 president of POWER) and others during protests to demand
an Office of Multicultural Affairs. (Check out the ONYX archives for great
pictures and articles!) Saira just finished her Masters in Africana Studies
at Cornell University, and is going to start a doctoral program in Temple University's
History Department, investigating Afro-Asiatic relations from Antiquity to
the present day. Saira is of South Asian descent, and would like to contribute
to the new dimensions of Pan-African Consciousness by suggesting the common
heritage and experience of Brown and Black people all over the world.
Class of 2001:
Jamila Walida Simon is of Trinidadian and American descent, residing
in Far Rockaway, New York. She is a senior Environmental Policy, and Science
Values major with a concentration in Environmental Science. She has
also been an active member in P.O.W.E.R. for three years and have worked on
it's initial web design. Currently she is working on maintaining an
alliance between Wells College and the Auburn Community by coaching a girls
basketball team. Ms. Simon will graduate in May of 2001, and plans
on
attending graduate school. WE WILL MISS YOU JAMILA!!!
Indira Nelson (on the left) is of French, English, and West Indian
descent, residing in New York City. Currently, she is a senior at Wells
College. With
a major in history and a minor in economics, Indira's intended career path
is in corporate law.

Rokhaya Tall (Daba): I majored in Economics and minored in Computer Science. I am from Dakar, Senegal in West Africa (The Motherland!!! Wow!!! long trip!? sure it was...). Laurephile Desrosiers, a native of Haiti, majored in Foreign Languages Literatures and Cultures and the Biological and Chemical Sciences. Laurephile is an aspiring physician who enjoys dancing and reading Edwidge Danticat. Her activities include being a Resident Assistant which allows her to establish friendships. She joined P.O.W.E.R. because it has provided her a voice here at Wells College.
