This Voice Mail page is for

Faculty, Staff, RAs, and Student Offices

 

This page has been designed to assist you with setting up and using this feature. Numbers surrounded by brackets { } are commands which you press on the telephone keypad.

If you need a voicebox or do not know your voicebox number or password, contact Joseph Dyson.

Accessing Your Voicemail is accomplished by dialing:

  • On campus 3278
  • Local 364-3278
  • Regional 364-3278
  • Long Dist. 1 315 364-3278
  • International 011 1 315 364-3278
There are a 3 types of scenarios that you will encounter when the Vmail system answers:
    You hear 1 of 3 of these scenarios:
  • The Wells General Info Greeting - Simply press {#} then enter your {Voicebox} then {Password}
  • .
  • Enter your Password & you are calling from a shared office or someone elses phone - You need to press {0 #} then enter your {Voicebox}, then {Password}
  • .
  • Enter your Password & this phone/voicebox is yours and only yours - You need to enter your {Password}
  • .
You are now into your voicebox, just follow the appropriate link below to accomplish your objective or printout a flowchart to help you:

Each time you log in to your mailbox, the System tells you the number of new and saved messages that you have. Immediately after voicing the number of messages in your mailbox, the System voices the Main menu options.

Review messages - {1}

New including heard/skipped - {1}
Archived - {2}
Recover deleted - {3}
*This is only good while you are in voicemail, the message will be gone once you exit*

New mailboxes will hear the CallEducator instructions to change password and record greetings.

*NOTE* If you share an office and have multiple voicemail boxes, contact Joe Dyson verbally at 3217 for assistance to change the greeting. Recorded greetings will not be heard with type of setup.

These options are accomplished by selecting {4} from main menu.

Change Password {9} (not voiced)

Date and Time voiceback {7}

On - {1}
Off - {2}

Greetings {1}:

Please hold prompt - {1}
Name prompt - {2}
Personal greeting - {5}
**For additional greetings, you need to record the following two prompts and use Call Handling options below to activate and deactivate greetings:
Optional Prompt 1 - {3}
Optional Prompt 2 - {4}

Call Handling {3}:

Block all incoming calls - {1}
After extension is not answered - {2}
After extension is busy - {3}
Block extension if not answered/busy - {4}
Review call handling (if active) - {8}
Return to normal call handling - {9}

Handling Options:

Activate prompt 1 - {1}
Activate prompt 2 - {2}
Forward calls - {3}
