Grading: MidTerm: 20%

Project: 30%

Class Participation and Case Discussion: 20%

Final Exam: 30%

Notes: 1) Please read the assigned chapters and prepare the cases. Make notes for discussion, apply case information to what you have learned, and indicate the lessons from each case.

2) My office is in Macmillan 304A, which is off the Social Sciences Lab (312). I share this space with two other Instructors. To get to Macmillan 304A, you need to walk down to the end of the hall in the North end of Macmillan and then proceed into and through room 312. At this point, I have no specific office hours, however, you can always e-mail me with any questions or to set up a time to meet. I will generally be available as needed before and after class.

3) Project:

a) Establish a group of at least 3 students.

b) Identify a fundraising activity (One time activity) that you can perform on campus. The activity can be, for example, a car wash, an activity with students on campus, sale of seasonal items to fellow students, a dance or a concert, or a similar one time event. Students are responsible for preparing a preliminary plan, identifying a charity, scheduling the event and obtaining all necessary approvals, assembling all necessary participants and materials, promoting the activity, collecting and accounting for funds, and writing a report summarizing the planning and the outcome of the event.

c) Run the activity, compare the plan to the outcome, and turn in a write up on the date of the final.
