Welcome!
Henry’s VIII is Wells College’s oldest a cappella group, consisting of between eight and thirteen members. We perform our own arrangements of popular and well-known songs on and off campus, so if you’re looking for a fun, energetic group to sing a few songs for your latest benefit, Henry’s VIII could be right for you!
In the future, we may even have CDs available upon request, so check back often.
If you’re a student at Wells College and think you’d like to be a part of Henry’s VIII, we encourage you to try out. We hold auditions at the beginning of each semester, so keep an eye out for an announcement around campus.
Our audition process is low-stress and fun, involving only a few scales, pitch-matching, blending exercises, and a small solo audition. Simply prepare a verse and a chorus of the song that best showcases your voice, and come in with a smile.*
