What To Include	How can I get an A?
Genre	Include the name of the genre at the top of page.
Definition	Give a clear definition and explain what the genre is.
Literary Elements	Focus on literary elements specific to the genre. Is the setting, plot, characters, mood, theme, or style different in the genre? Explain how.
Guidelines for Selecting High Quality	What does a book have to have to be considered high quality?
Categories	What are some categories within the genre? For example traditional literature can be divided into different categories such as tall tales, folk tales, noodlehead tales, etc.
Common Themes	List at least 5 themes that are common within the genre.
Good Books Within Genre	List at least 5 books that are of high quality within the genre. The books must be suitable for students between the ages of 5 and 12.
References	Provide references for where you found the information specific to the genre.
Neat and Accurate	Have a hand-out that is correct and easy to read.
Presentation	Take 10-15 minutes to share the information you found. Do not share by reading your hand-out. Bring some books and examples to class so that everyone can experience the genre.
Other Information	Include anything else that was not noted above that is specific to the genre.
