Parallel Task
Students will create a parallel task similar to the extended response reading portion of the ELA.  Students must choose a topic and find two selections from different genres about the topic.  Then they will write questions, create graphic organizers and create an extended response writing piece for the selections. Students will create a rubric to score the students’ responses.
