Okay, here's what we talked about at the last meeting:
T-Shirts: We're still looking at prices
Heather handed out her "labor of love" to all of us...Amnesty Toolkits! Also, she has received the Urgent Action for this month and will be tabling for that soon
Alexa and Sarah came to talk about Oxfam and Student Leadership Conference to Make Trade Fair and Stop the FTAA. Sarah may be doing a petition to stop the FTAA, which we are interested in helping out on. She'll email us if she decides to do so. There'll be a rally at Cornell on November 12th. Alexa and Sarah also talked about having a "hunger banquet" and a phone flood to call state senators regarding the FTAA. We didn't technically vote on it, but everyone is interested in participating.
Upcoming:
Prisoner of Conscience Dinner
Candle Light Vigil for Layla Zana, we'd like to coordinate with NYC, and we believe the date is Nov 14th? If anyone has checked up on this they might want to email the group.

Movies! We're still going to try to work with Hillel for movie nights around Holocaust Remembrance Day. To just get us started on our movie series, we're going to jump around a bit and show 7 Years in Tibet on Nov 17th. Some newly suggested movies were a documentary on the bus boycott, Empire of the Sun, The Man Who Cried, and Traveling Before God.
I think that's it. Everyone have a great weekend and I'll see you next week at our new date and time, Tuesdays at 7:00 pm.
