At the last meeting we mainly discussed how we would decorate our lovely bulletin board. Ideas included decorating the board with traced cutouts of our hands with our names and email addresses written on. Key points from the declaration of human rights would be posted as well as upcoming events, our meeting time, who the officers are, and a "For more information visit..." section. We could also put up posters and an envelope with stickers and temporary tattoos to give away, as we have plenty.
Talk about Mardi Gras was put off until a later meeting as well as discussing the posters we want to have made, as it was deemed wise to use our posters to advertise the Mardi Gras event. We won't hold the book drive until the WRC sorts their library, so probably the end of this semester.
The T-shirt contest deadline will be 2 weeks after we announce the contest. We're going to try to get a gift certificate to the Sommer Center as a prize.
As you can read in your collegiate minutes, each club is being given $20.00 for diversity programming. We're not sure what we'll use the money for yet, but we'll think of something. Bring ideas to the next meeting.
As for the next meeting, board decorating time!! We'll meet at the same time as usual, but instead of the WRC, we're meeting at the board so we can get right to that. See you there!
