Minutes 3/9/04

1. Speaker Updates

A. Program - Heather has the programs printed up. I have a copy if anyone not at the meeting wants to see it.

B. Books - Waldenbooks is getting 20 of Bok's book at a discount for us.

C. Poster - The posters were ready for hanging and given out to the few members who showed up to the meeting to be hung around campus.

2. Symposium

A. Tomorrow, that's Wednesday, at 7 pm we'll be meeting in the Collegiate Office (2nd Floor Main Apartment) to stuff envelopes with urgent actions to put in the tote bags.

B. For those of us who signed up to help with registration, we'll be registering all day starting at 8:00 am

3. Picture - It's not a complete loss that most of the members didn't show up tonight because Jen didn't show up to take our yearbook photo either. This will be rescheduled. When we reschedule it I, personally, will expect YOU to be at the meeting so our yearbook photo will show us as the active club I know we are.

4. Movies

The next movie we'll be showing is Sarafina, about South African Apartheid. After that will be a movie about Tibet, possibly 7 Years In Tibet or The Last Emperor. For National Holocaust Week we'll be showing Schindler's List.

That ends yet another edition of your Amnesty minutes. I'll see you next Tuesday, which just so happens to be the day of Francis Bok's lecture. If you don't see the posters, it's at 7:00 pm in the Chapel and there'll be a dinner with Bok for Amnesty members. I suggest you email Heather to let her know whether you'll be attending the dinner so she can get a head-count.
