Professor Tukumbi Lumumba-Kasongo has been working on the following Research Projects:

(1) European Union’s Economic and Political Relations with Africa after the Maastricht Treaty;

(2) Who and What Governs in the World of the States?: A Comparative Study of Constitutions, Citizenry, Power, and Ideology in Contemporary Politics;

Tukumbi Lumumba-Kasongo was invited as the keynote speaker in an international conference on “Identity and Space,” which was held at University of Binghamton, May 2-3, 2003; the topic of his talk was on “Re-definitions of Territoriality, National Identity, and Global Democratic Values in the Post-Cold War Era.”
