MATH 251, Probability and Statistics I, Fall 2001, Mon. Oct. 3, Day 15 Final ver.

In class exam:   Friday after break.
Handout for Project part of exam.  EESEE example: www.whfreeman.com/ips, EESEE
EESEE does work fine from your CD in the Macintosh lab--EESEEMAC.  (I think it was written originally for Macs)
MORE on using EESEE on Wells PC computers: As of 4pm Wed. it wasn't yet on Mac 101 computers.  Try rebooting to see if it appears.
    1) You need to have the font MPalatino in C:Windows\Fonts.  Once it's there, it stays through rebooting.
    2) You need to have Quicktime operating (if you get no pictures, this is the problem).  To install it: on the CD, go into the QTwin212 folder, click on QT32.  Follow the directions.  Quicktime WON'T stay through a rebooting that gets its image from the Wells central computers.
--If those two conditions are satisfied, it seems to run OK from the CD.  Find the file EESEEPC and click on it.
WHERE IS IT?  I have 2 student disks, both from 1999.  When installed, they make different shortcut folders on the Start/Program menu. One puts the shortcut in a folder "IPS Student".  The other puts it in a folder "Statistics".  What do yours do?
