Math 151, Day 40, Monday May 7, 2001

Please write down on a slip of paper your name and a number from 0 to 10,
0 being "I did not look at the sample exam"
and 10 being "I worked the sample exam completely, closed book, checked my answers with the solutions, figured out what I did wrong and why for each one."
6 would be something like "I read through the exam and worked the problems I wasn't sure of, using the book, then checked the answers to those parts. I mostly figured out why the answers were right."
   or like "
4 would be something like "I read through the exam solutions and used the book (or a friend or the assistant) to try to understand what didn't make sense."
This is not a test.  I will not judge you on your answer.  I will make a scatterplot of your answers vs. your exam grades and see if there is a relationship.

Exam 3 returns.   I wanted a total of  about 105 points (100% + 5 extra) but it seemed to naturally add up to 110, and I couldn't decide where to shave the excess 5 points from.  So I graded out of 110 points and then divided by 105 to get a percent (with a bit less than 5 possible extra.)   The "percent" is the grade that will go into the final average.  In general, the grades were quite good for this exam, historically hard.
