Chapter 5: This explores some of the database capabilities
of Excel--an add-on to the spreadsheet concept. A database in Excel
is called a "list," and is fairly simple. In Access (a "database"
package) we'll call it a "table." In Access we'll learn how
to connect up several tables. (We'll also do some of the jobs you
do here, in the Access environment.)
Looking ahead:
Chapter 6 is Optional. If you are working fast, do Sessions
1 and 2. (Assignment 6 will also be optional: it can "cancel" one
absence or one late HW) If you're working really fast, do Session
3 also.
